Marc Antony was a second cousin to Caesar. He was Caesar's cavalry commander and fought with Caesar in Gaul.
Marc Antony rose to power with Caesar and was his chief assistant and Consul.
Marc Antony went on to become an important Roman figure, with quite a history of his own (including a relationship and a number of children with Cleopatra), after Caesar was assassinated.
