None Color? All Color pictures How good are the pictures? The pictures run from Not very good to Very good Are there close ups of the marks? None Comments: Pictures run from Not very Good to Very good and there are no marks Shown but the ones marked are Identified but then the book is not about marks. SCORE: 8 QUANTITY OF INFORMATION: Range of information offered? The covers a very wide range of information Is information thorough? Yes Comments: Excellent Information SCORE: 9 QUALITY OF INFORMATION: Accuracy (are there mistakes?): None that I know of Comments: SCORE: 9 VALUES LISTED: Are they helpful or realistic? Hmmm Comments: The book was written in 1998 so forget about the prices SCORE: 7 USER FRIENDLY: Is the book easy to read and follow? Yes Are things easy to find (table of contents/index)? Yes Comments: The book does really well here SCORE: 9 TOTAL AVERAGE SCORE..... 8.5 Is this a must have book? Yes Overall Comments: A really good book to look at if nothing else. I really liked the 7 pages of plaster impressions of cameos from the 1700s these are a important part of history. I also liked the Cameo carved from Opal on page 14 and there are several pictures of Two Profile Tigers Eye cameos from the middle 1800s which are my personal favorites that I wear. I did not find a single Berlin Iron or Steel Cameo in the book. The book also covers a lot of the Glass and Plastic Cameos which are becoming more collectible. | |
