Here's an interesting fact... This brooch was made for Walter Lampl by the Whiting & Davis company during the 1930s:
According to Peter DiCristofaro of the Providence Jewelry Museum (who owns the original mold used to cast this piece), it was unusual for Whiting & Davis to manufacture for anyone other than themselves. They did, however, make jewelry for Lampl.
