Selro jewelry was the creation of Paul Selenger, who named his jewelry company after his mother, Rose. Since their last name was Selenger and her name was Rose, he put the two together and came up with Selro. Later on, he developed the Selini line to differentiate between the two lines and there is some difference in detail on the pieces, even though many are the same or nearly the same.
Paul came to the USA from the Odessa, Russia, according to the US Census. He first listed his industry or type of work as "Novelty Store" then went on to work for H. Pomerantz before going off on his own and creating Selro jewelry, then Selini.
The Selro/Selini necklaces that used flat chain with the end and clasp pieces are, in my experience, nearly always unsigned (the company used paper hang tags). The chain elements are one of the ways to identify unsigned Selro/Selini when they are used with other known construction elements and features.

78 This is a very uncommon and unsigned Selro bracelet. The butterfly bracelets are certainly uncommon but this one has two red, facing butterflies!! Notice that there are siam ruby red rhinestones accenting each station..
