Ornate mounting with raised grape leaf prongs, floral accents, marcasite bezel. Genuine tortoise shell back ground shows pronounced classic mottling and graining when held to the light. Genuine ivory carved high relief profile of a woman with ringlet curls. Circa 1900-1910. Compliments of Carolyn Sunday Sunday and Sunday	32 Rare large 14K solid rose gold early Victorian brooch pin features an extremely well detailed hand carved intaglio of Saint George with Dragon head dress and Lion cloak! Back of the carnelian artist etched with the number #290 and #6. Unmarked gold, typical of early Victorian jewelry, has been carefully tested to guarantee 14K gold content and quality. Compliments of Barbara Jones My Finest Things	39 back view "use a high powered loupe and look for "polyps", they look like drill holes but they occur naturally in angelskin coral, but will NOT appear in shell. Both are in the same color range. The angelskin tends to be a little more glass like and shiny where the shell is a little more matte. That's because coral has a hardness of 3 and shell is 2-1/2."
