"Diane Brack Weidling, 65, of Amarillo died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2014. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Murray Gossett and Howard Griffin officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Diane was born in Grand Island, Neb., to John and Naomi Brack. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1966, and from Texas Tech University in 1970. Diane married the love of her life, John Weidling, in 1980 in Amarillo. She was director of marketing for Western Merchandisers until retiring in 1999. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sarah; a son, Sam; a stepson, Kristopher Weidling and wife Jennifer of Holly Springs, N.C.; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Madison and Brooklyn; a sister, Susan Kitchens; a brother, Vance Brack and wife Patsye; a close friend, Brandy Killham and husband Shane; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-grandnieces and nephews, and her pets. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Naomi Brack Scholarship Fund, Amarillo College Foundation, P.O. Box 447, Amarillo, TX 79109, or a charity of your choice." --admin, 09/07/14
