Virginia “Ginger” Jones Gatlin, 85, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 15th at Paramount Baptist Church, 3801 S. Western St. with Pastor Victor Miller officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.
Ginger was born May 16, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas to Harold and Jane Marshall. She graduated from Amarillo High School and went on to study Nursing at Hardin-Simmons University, earning a bachelor degree in Nursing. She worked for Dr. Nichols and BSA Home Healthcare. Ginger grew up at First Baptist Church and spent many years there, where she taught Sunday school and worked in the nursery. She has been a member of Paramount Baptist Church for the last 25 years, many of which she spent working with the Grief Share Ministry.
In her spare time, Ginger enjoyed doing counted cross-stitch as well as reading. She loved going to the mountains and spendin...Edit

I took up motorcycle riding at 46 and this is one of my riding jackets. After a couple of crashes, I cut back to a Honda 150 scooter--at this point, it's about gas mileage! They get about 80 mpg.Edit
