Billing on ImageEvent: trial members use Choose a plan; paid members use Your account (Account & Billing). Stripe (card) can update or cancel auto-renew on our site. PayPal auto-renew is changed only in PayPal: Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments. Prices below are in US dollars (USD).

Account packages and how to upgrade

Start with the 21-day Trial, then pick Premium or Power Premium. Compare plans on the packages page. After you create an account, billing happens on Choose a plan (trial) or Your account (paid).
  • Trial — evaluation album workflow. After you confirm your email, each login during the trial opens Choose a plan until you pay.
  • Premium — 1,500 files. $32.95 a year or $3.45 a month. Extra files can be added (see storage below).
  • Power Premium — unlimited storage, custom header/footer. $79.95 a year or $8.45 a month. Upgrading from Premium to Power is a pay once charge of $79.95 that prorates leftover Premium time to Power (it does not start a Power auto-renew by itself).
  • Agent (where offered) — pay once for a year; no monthly or yearly auto-renew buttons.
To pay from a trial:
  1. Sign in. You land on Choose a plan.
  2. Pick Premium or Power. The main buttons are Stripe Pay yearly and Pay monthly. PayPal yearly auto-renew is a text link under the cards.
  3. Finish checkout. Your account updates when the payment completes.
To renew or change a paid account, open Your account (Account & Billing) from your home page. Full comparison:

Billing topics:

Your account page

Your account is Account & Billing. Sign in, then open it from your home page or from a renewal banner.

At the top you see account type (Premium or Power Premium), a green chip when auto-renew is on (Auto-renew on · Monthly or Yearly), how many files you use, and either Next charge (auto-renew) or Renewal / expiry (pay once). The note under that card is the next amount and date.

Plans & billing is the working area:
  • Stripe auto-renew: you get Update payment method and Cancel auto-renew. There is no second checkout until auto-renew is off.
  • PayPal auto-renew: ImageEvent does not show Cancel or Update payment. Change the funding source or stop auto-renew in PayPal: Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments. When PayPal cancels, ImageEvent turns auto-renew off and you keep the time already paid.
  • Pay once (no auto-renew): Stripe yearly auto-renew, monthly auto-renew, and pay once, plus PayPal yearly auto-renew or pay once as offered. Renew Premium with 1,500 more files ($56.95) is pay-once Premium only.
  • Yearly auto-renew is shown when you have about a year or less remaining. Monthly auto-renew is shown when you have about 30 days or less remaining. Pay once for a year is available whenever we can sell that plan. Time you already paid is kept and stacked; we do not shorten your expiry.
  • Upgrade to Power ($79.95 pay once) prorates leftover Premium time to Power. If Premium auto-renew is on, cancel it first (Stripe on our site; PayPal in PayPal).
How payment works explains Stripe vs PayPal. Account tools opens Account settings (name, email, password) and Address book.

Trial members use Choose a plan instead of this page until they pay.

Auto-renew (subscriptions)

Auto-renew is a subscription. We charge the card or PayPal on a schedule so the account does not lapse.
  • Yearly auto-renew — Stripe or PayPal. Auto-renews yearly. Cancel anytime. Premium $32.95; Power $79.95.
  • Monthly auto-renew — Stripe only. Premium $3.45; Power $8.45. Auto-renews monthly. Cancel anytime.
  • Pay once for 1 year (no auto-renew) — not a subscription. One year, no automatic charge. You renew from Your account when you are ready.
You are on auto-renew when the green chip is on. Then the date is Next charge, not only expiry. If a charge fails, the page asks you to update payment so albums stay online.

Canceling auto-renew is not the same as deleting the account. Cancel auto-renew and you keep access through the date already paid. See cancel auto-renew vs close the account.

Yearly auto-renew and pay once

Two yearly options:
  • Pay yearly (auto-renew) — Stripe button or PayPal yearly subscribe. Auto-renews yearly. Cancel anytime. Your first year is added on top of any time you have left. On Your account the chip reads Auto-renew on · Yearly.
  • Pay once for 1 year (no auto-renew) — Stripe or PayPal one-time. One year, no auto-renew. When that year runs down, Your account shows renewal buttons again. The date is Renewal / expiry.
Yearly auto-renew is the usual default when a year or less is left. If you still have more than about a year remaining, yearly auto-renew is hidden so we do not collect another full year that far ahead; pay once can still be used.

PayPal auto-renew is yearly only. There is no PayPal monthly subscription on these pages.

Monthly auto-renew

Monthly auto-renew is Stripe only (Pay yearly / Pay monthly on Choose a plan and Your account).
  • Premium $3.45 a month; Power Premium $8.45 a month.
  • Auto-renews monthly. Cancel anytime. Leftover paid time is kept; the next monthly charge date is shown as Next charge.
  • The chip reads Auto-renew on · Monthly.
  • Monthly is offered when about 30 days or less remain, so we are not stacking many unused months. If more than about 30 days remain, use yearly auto-renew or pay once instead.
There is no monthly pay-once. Monthly always auto-renews until you cancel.

Update your payment method

Do this when the card expires, a charge failed, or you want a different card. Only accounts with auto-renew on have these buttons.

Paid with Stripe (card, wallet, or bank)
  1. Sign in and open Your account.
  2. In Plans & billing click Update payment method.
  3. Stripe Billing Portal opens. Change the card or default method, then return to ImageEvent.
Use the same Stripe account that paid (the customer id on your ImageEvent account). One-time (guest) checkouts do not create a portal; those accounts are pay once and have no Update payment button.

Paid with PayPal
  1. Open PayPal → Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments.
  2. Update the funding source on the ImageEvent subscription there.
ImageEvent cannot change a PayPal funding source from our site.

Cancel auto-renew (keep your time)

This stops future charges. It does not delete albums. You keep access through the paid-through date shown on the page.

Stripe yearly or monthly
  1. Your account → Cancel auto-renew.
  2. Read the date and amount, then confirm on the cancel page.
  3. We tell Stripe to cancel at period end. Auto-renew turns off; the chip goes away; the date stays as expiry.
PayPal yearly
  1. In PayPal: Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments, find ImageEvent, cancel it. Or email support@imageevent.com if you need help.
  2. When PayPal sends the cancel notice, ImageEvent turns auto-renew off. You keep access through the paid-through date.
After auto-renew is off you can pay once or start a new subscription from Your account when the leftover rules allow (see yearly and monthly above). Do not start a second subscription while one is still active or you can be charged twice.

Change monthly, yearly, or plan

There is no in-place switch from monthly to yearly (or the reverse) on the same subscription. Cancel the one you have, then buy the other from Your account.
  1. Monthly → yearly: Cancel monthly auto-renew. When yearly buttons show (about a year or less left), Pay yearly (Stripe or PayPal) or pay once. Do not leave monthly running and also pay yearly.
  2. Yearly auto-renew → monthly: Cancel yearly auto-renew. Monthly buttons show when about 30 days or less remain.
  3. Pay once → auto-renew: Use Pay yearly or Pay monthly on Your account when those buttons are shown. Leftover time is stacked; we do not take it away.
  4. Premium → Power: If Premium auto-renew is on, cancel it first. Then pay $79.95 once (Upgrade to Power). Leftover Premium time becomes Power; that payment first covers the price difference for the days you already have ($79.95 minus $32.95, prorated). Only what is left over extends the expiration. We never shorten the date. Example: about 6 months left → the difference for those months is taken out of $79.95 and the rest adds Power time past that date. It does not start Power auto-renew. Start Power yearly or monthly later from Your account if you want auto-renew. Renew Premium with 1,500 more files is only for pay-once Premium (not auto-renew).
  5. Name, email, password: Your account → Account settings (not a billing change).

Forms of payment

Online: Stripe (card, and depending on device/region Link, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Cash App Pay, or US bank / ACH) or PayPal. Same plan either way. All prices USD.

Stripe handles monthly auto-renew, yearly auto-renew, and pay once. PayPal handles yearly auto-renew and pay once (not monthly).

You may also pay by check or money order with the printable form. That is processed by hand and is pay once, not auto-renew.

Pay with a check or money order

To be upgraded or renewed using a check or money order, please follow these 3 easy steps.
  1. Print the premium upgrade/renewal form and enter the required information.
  2. Enclose a check with the full amount.
  3. Send the premium upgrade form with your check.

Pay with PayPal

On Choose a plan or Your account, use the PayPal links under the Stripe buttons. Yearly auto-renew uses PayPal Subscribe; pay once uses PayPal Buy Now. After PayPal confirms, ImageEvent updates the account.

PayPal auto-renew is yearly only. To change the PayPal funding source or stop PayPal auto-renew, use PayPal → Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments.

You can still send a PayPal payment by email if you prefer a manual yearly pay-once:
  1. Log in at www.paypal.com.
  2. Send the yearly amount to billing@imageevent.com and include your ImageEvent username.
  3. Allow up to 24 hours for us to apply it. That path is not auto-renew.

When does the Trial Package Expire?

The Trial Package lasts 21 days. After you confirm your email, signing in during the trial opens Choose a plan (Welcome + Premium and Power cards). Pay yearly or monthly with Stripe, or yearly with PayPal. We send a reminder before day 21. At 21 days the trial ends and albums are disabled; you still have up to 2 weeks to sign in, land on Choose a plan, and pay before the account is deleted.

4K/8K and large video support
Share your best quality: 4K and 8K HDR Videos
ImageEvent is for creators and businesses who want photos and videos to look great when people watch them online. On Premium, you can upload videos up to 300MB per file and we encode up to 4K HDR. Power Premium raises those limits to 4GB per video and adds 8K HDR encoding (some older Premium accounts may already allow the higher upload cap). There is no limit on how long a video can be—only the per-file size limit applies—so 4K clips, full events, and longer recordings are all welcome on Premium; 8K masters need Power Premium.

When your upload finishes, we prepare web-friendly versions of your video in the background. Our systems use modern graphics hardware designed for video, so that step is typically done in seconds. The result is smooth playback and a clear, high-quality picture for your viewers.

If you upload high dynamic range (HDR) material—whether it is HDR10 or Dolby Vision—we convert it to HDR10 in AV1 for streaming, which tends to play reliably on the widest range of HDR-capable TVs, phones, and browsers. We also create companion SDR (standard dynamic range) versions automatically, so guests on older devices or in environments where HDR is not available still see a great-looking picture.

Embedded subtitles you can choose at playback. When your source file ships with subtitle or caption tracks embedded in the container—multiple languages, SDH, commentary captions, or any other timed text your editor or camera export includes—those tracks are carried into our streaming renditions. In the album viewer, guests use the player’s subtitle control to pick the track they want while the video plays, so one upload can serve international audiences, accessibility needs, and viewers in quiet settings. We also synthesize standard WebVTT (.vtt) subtitle files as separate deliverables. Open Image properties on the enlarged video to access those captions: copy the link or download the .vtt for archives, accessibility workflows, or pairing with a rendition you saved locally.

Download and reuse every encoded size. The same Image properties panel lists each streaming rendition we generated for that clip—such as 720p, 1080p, 4K on Premium, and 8K on Power Premium when produced from your source—with ready-to-share URLs. When your account and album allow downloads, you can copy a URL or download any listed resolution so the file can be archived, played offline in another app, or dropped into editing and presentation tools without starting from scratch.

Video experience we keep raising the bar on. ImageEvent’s video stack continues to evolve: multi-resolution encodes through 720p, 1080p, 4K on Premium, and 8K on Power Premium when your source supports them, modern codecs such as AV1 (with complementary encodes where browsers need them), HDR workflows paired with automatic SDR fallbacks, and bandwidth-aware delivery so each guest gets the richest picture their connection and device can decode smoothly. Background transcoding stays tuned for speed as well as quality, so large, high-bitrate masters move from finished edit to polished, shareable playback with minimal friction.
Use this plan guidance:
  • Premium — ideal for standard 4K HDR clips and everyday client delivery (up to 300MB each).
  • Power Premium — best for larger masters, 8K HDR encoding, and high-bitrate uploads (up to 4GB each).
For format details, see the supported file types list above. For pricing and plan changes, open the packages page.

Membership promotions and account credits

Membership promotions and account credits may vary by package and billing period. When available, details are sent by email at the time of purchase or renewal and are also reflected in your account and billing information.

How do I cancel my account

To stop auto-renew only (keep albums through the paid date), use Cancel auto-renew on Your account. Do not email for that if you paid with Stripe; use the Cancel auto-renew button.

To close the account and remove albums, email support. We close it within about 48 hours. Backup your files first. We send confirmation when the account is removed. Closing the account is separate from canceling auto-renew; if auto-renew is still on, cancel it as well (Stripe on our site, PayPal in PayPal) so you are not charged after the account is gone.

Change name, password, and email address

To change your name, password, and/or email:
  1. Log in and open Your account (Account & Billing).
  2. Click Account settings.
  3. Make changes and Submit.

When you are not logged in, you can still view your albums, but you won't be able to use all of ImageEvent's features such as creating and uploading images.

Can I purchase more storage?

Premium renewal that also adds 1,500 files is $56.95 for one year of Premium plus the extra files (the extra storage is not billed again later). That offer is pay once only. It appears on Your account for pay-once Premium accounts, not while auto-renew is on. Extra 1,500 files by itself ($32.95) stays available for both pay-once and auto-renew Premium.
