4K and large video support
Share your best quality: 4K HDR Videos
ImageEvent is for creators and businesses who want photos and videos to look great when people watch them online. On Premium, you can upload videos up to 300MB per file. Power Premium raises those limits to 4GB per video (and some older Premium accounts may already allow the same cap). There is no limit on how long a video can be—only the per-file size limit applies—so 4K clips, full events, and longer recordings are all welcome.

When your upload finishes, we prepare web-friendly versions of your video in the background. Our systems use modern graphics hardware designed for video, so that step is typically done in seconds. The result is smooth playback and a clear, high-quality picture for your viewers.

If you upload high dynamic range (HDR) material—whether it is HDR10 or Dolby Vision—we convert it to HDR10 in AV1 for streaming, which tends to play reliably on the widest range of HDR-capable TVs, phones, and browsers. We also create companion SDR (standard dynamic range) versions automatically, so guests on older devices or in environments where HDR is not available still see a great-looking picture.

Embedded subtitles you can choose at playback. When your source file ships with subtitle or caption tracks embedded in the container—multiple languages, SDH, commentary captions, or any other timed text your editor or camera export includes—those tracks are carried into our streaming renditions. In the album viewer, guests use the player’s subtitle control to pick the track they want while the video plays, so one upload can serve international audiences, accessibility needs, and viewers in quiet settings. We also synthesize standard WebVTT (.vtt) subtitle files as separate deliverables. Open Image properties on the enlarged video to access those captions: copy the link or download the .vtt for archives, accessibility workflows, or pairing with a rendition you saved locally.

Download and reuse every encoded size. The same Image properties panel lists each streaming rendition we generated for that clip—such as 720p, 1080p, and 4K when produced from your source—with ready-to-share URLs. When your account and album allow downloads, you can copy a URL or download any listed resolution so the file can be archived, played offline in another app, or dropped into editing and presentation tools without starting from scratch.

Video experience we keep raising the bar on. ImageEvent’s video stack continues to evolve: multi-resolution encodes through 720p, 1080p, and 4K when your source supports them, modern codecs such as AV1 (with complementary encodes where browsers need them), HDR workflows paired with automatic SDR fallbacks, and bandwidth-aware delivery so each guest gets the richest picture their connection and device can decode smoothly. Background transcoding stays tuned for speed as well as quality, so large, high-bitrate masters move from finished edit to polished, shareable playback with minimal friction.
Use this plan guidance:
  • Premium — ideal for standard 4K clips and everyday client delivery (up to 300MB each).
  • Power Premium — best for larger masters and high-bitrate uploads (up to 4GB each).
For format details, see the supported file types list above. For pricing and plan changes, open the packages page.
