Second Day, Dinner on a Boat
That evening my wife had a special treat for us.  Along the Saigon river there are a number of “Dinner Boats”.  As the name implies, each boat is a restaurant serving fine food.  In addition, there’s a live performance of singers and in the course of the evening, the boat will travel up and down the river, treating the diners to a fine view of the Saigon waterfront.  The peak of the entertainment is a lovely fire dancer, twirling her flame batons to music!

We had a great time and the food was very good.  There was one major disappointment though.  The soup my father ordered, didn’t look anything like it’s picture.   Indeed, the bowl was very small and the soup, while excellent, was not what he was expecting.   Thankfully there was enough other food going around to leave us all stuffed to our gills.

This is the floating restaurant we visited.  As you might guess, they specialize in Sea food.  It was called the "Tau Ben Nghe"
