32 07014 Day in Town Reproduction 1 Mattel's vintage No Sew Fashions were printed fabric that children would cut out and glue together. Almost all of the details such as trim, buttons, sometimes even seams and creases would be printed on the fabric. A fun concept, but the actual fashions feel and look very flat. Here I've recreated the look of the Day in Town fashion but with real trim, buttons, linings, etc.

116 07055 Kickin' It 1 My entry into the 2007 Jason Wu Event Kickin' It Brit Style competition. We were tasked with designing a hip, ultra-trendy day wear outfit for a young British fashionista as well as a story card explaining a few thoughts and details behind our creations.
Story Card It may be autumn but Colette isn’t ready to give up her favourite shorts from Top Shop, probably, the most popular British fashion retailer for young women. She decides to warm them up with a few of this season’s hottest London trends – electric colours, retro Rocker accents and ankle boots.
She shimmies into eye-popping yellow tights, layers on neon green socks, adds a high-necked yellow T, pulls on her gingham button-front shorts, and slips her feet into new boots.
117 07055 Kickin' It 2 On the way out the door, she grabs the necessities for a trip to Notting Hill for brunch with her mates. Her scarf is practically a cool weather-wear staple in London. Her leather jacket is a treasure she unearthed just last week at a vintage clothing store on Brick Lane. And, of course, she must have her black, leather messenger bag.
Colette beetles down the street towards the tube. She’s so hungry she could almost bring herself to eat black pudding, but murdering a plate of eggs, tommies, bangers, and toast sounds a whole lot better!
