The Courier Build (START 1/14/08)I am fixing to get started on building my 1978 Ford Courier Sasquatch 4X4. Today I ordered a 2.3L long block to replace the original 2.3L. The basic plan is to get it running dependable again, then slowly switch out parts from my 1987 Suzuki Samurai rock crawler. Final truck should end up with Dana 44 axles front and rear. 5.38:1 ring & pinion gears, Detroit lockers, and 6.4:1 transfer case gears, all of which are already in the Samurai ready to change over.The bench seat I will switch out with the racing seats from the rock crawler also. The rock crawler courently has 39X15X15 tires, I am thinking about 35X12.5X15 for the Courier. I will post updates as they occure here:
