Ford Escort mk2 1100 van. By the time this picture was taken it had a hot 1600 mexico engine (120+bhp) with full 'rally' suspension. Too many other mods to mention here!

This picture is not my actual car. Mine was a Rover SD1 3500 V8. I loved this great car. It was lowered with fat alloys/tyres etc. Think it cost just over £1000 but spent £tons on it! Can't remember number plate off hand... Kept it for over 3 years. Much modded!
