1 63 day old pups battle the stairs... Intrepid readily races up the stairs, but the otherse need some time. Tiny, Nemo and Dauntless are preparing to take the stairs on...
| 2 Doh! Goliath loomed over them like a scary monster, and apparently scared them off!
| 3 I hear food in there! Despite Goliath's intimidating pose the pups KNOW there is a reason to hit the treads; there is CHEESE in the air!
| 4 Tiny says ENOUGH of this... And tackles the first step...
|
5 Two steps forward..... One step back! Meanwhile the boyz are focusing on Goliath - think they can nip him from there?
| 6 See? Tiny was right on - there WAS cheese in the air! Infact, those are T.'s feet, and that thar is shredded cheese on Sonja's back! What a slob I am, huh? Eating cheese in such a way that it falls on the ground! Infact, maybe if I drop enough cheese the BOYZ will finally make it up those stairs!
| 7 Nemo hits the treads... While Dauntless sniffs around to build up her courage..
| 8 Dauntless is inspired... But Jack is still stuck. Jack is one of the heavier pups, while Intrepid is the lightest. I find the lighter pups stand first, and even take the stairs first- not as much weight to carry, so a small advantage!

9 64 day old pups and WHO stole Santa's hat? Clearly the pups have raided the laundry (aint MY knickers in that pic!) and rifled thru a box of costuming items. Dauntless and Intrepid look almost innocent, but Jack? No mistaking WHO took the undies!
| 10 Yet another incarnation of the dog yard... The pups can now walk the plank! The side of the yard is looking very ugly, but have hope dear hearts! The plans include a fancy fence to replace the flimsy chicken wire fence, which will create a dog-free buffer zone to keep Ruby away from the neighbors dog (who fence fights on the other side of the wooden fence) and will allow me to have a flower garden with tall things - think sunflowers, hollyhocks and canterbury bells!
| 11 Sonja rests in the sun.... Her favorite activity (if you could not tell) while 66 day old Nemo pesters Conan.
| 12 66 day old pups in the hole! Intrepid and Dauntless work on Tunnel to China 2004!
|
13 Jack and Xena observe... Nemo and Intrepid's efforts!
| 14 Xena wants in on the action! In true terrier form, Xena enjoys a good hole to dig in! We try to direct the pack to digging zones in the yard - this hole is in an unapproved area, but since it is going towards the dog yard and since the area will soon be fenced off, we are allowing this unathorized excavation project.
| 15 Even Astro... Can make the dirt fly!
| 16 Outta my way I say! The deeper the hole, the fresher the dirt, and the better the smell! (So say the dogs!)
|
17 Ahhh! Nemo pushes his sis out of the way to get to the really fresh part!
| 18 Jack.... Aka YAK - not because he is barky, but because it rhymes, eh? Jack is curious but not a busy body, he is mellow like a pitbull, but all RAT when it comes to underwear and fine dining!
| 19 Dauntless... Was posed so pretty on the platform, until I pointed the camera and tried to catch the shot!
| 20 Tiny... Tiny can be aloof and independent, prefering to chew her bone in peace, but when she wants her cuddling she can really turn on the charm! "T, that pup has the sweete..." View Comments...

21 Intrepid and Sonja... Intrepid is a busy body, always in motion, always underfoot!
| 22 Xena and Conan.. Why are we outside on a hot day? We get the pups outdoors as much as possible, for excercise! Plus its good to make sure they are pottied and EMPTY before we let them back into the house!
| 23 Jack.... Comes towards the camera. He was sitting so cute, too...
| 24 Nemo nibbles..... Nemo is the mastermind of the pup pack, super oriented to people and super smart!
