I became interested in hockey in 1967, the year the St. Louis Blues entered the National Hockey League.
My interest grew when the expansion team Blues made the Stanley Cup finals that first year. I could actually name most of the players in the league, especially those from the Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks.
Unfortunately, I lost my interest in hockey by the mid 1970's. However, I wanted a set that included all the players that I remembered. The 1970-71 Dad's Cookies set is perfect, except it would be so much nicer if the players appeared in their team uniforms. I am enjoying the extra challenge of completing the set in SGC 98 Gem Mint condition. I am now only 2 cards away from the complete set.
