Nearly bull's eye. Some call it plinking.

Nearly certainly unrelated: Some billeted troops wanted to catapult Stümpfelbach into Alpine redoubt territory during the last days of the war. The worse the odds the higher the honor. Resident population understandably somewhat lukewarm about the whole concept. A check point committee headed by Madame Nuss was therefore dispatched to route away any liberating troops until saner minds could prevail. Takes some time to remove all those unsightly tank barriers and to roll out the welcoming mat. Unclear if Patton himself was detoured or if it was just a lonely ambulance driver which had lost his way. The back country roads of the Schurwald can be tricky. Switchback terrain. Cinematographic ending: A face saving warning shot at the nearest clock face.

Old City Hall, South side. The big, first floor room with the six adjacent windows will have been the Oval Office.

A lentil shaped Cold War siren is still housed in the turret. First strike targets beware.

School bus drop off. Strümpfelbach is so hemmed in that the only way a school-bus can turn is by driving around the City Hall.
