| Grabertbrunnen The formulation is liability neutral. - The late NATO Secretary General Manfred Wörner did hail from Wäscherbeuren (in any case registered there to vote).
| Grabertbrunnen City arms. Just the usual story of a washer woman made leman by one of the Staufic hopefuls. No historic basis.

| Wäschenbeuren, Johanneskirche
Catholic church, formerly in the care of the Lorch monastery. The local aristocracy (the house of Rechberg- Staufeneck) remained in the Austrian fold. Probably safer than siding with wild Ulrich. (Roughly: distant liege lord preferred). Could be regarded as a secession. Reincorporation into Württemberg only in the mid 19th century. The full story will have a few additonal twists.

Wäschenbeuren, Johanneskirche epitaph wall
| Wäschenbeuren, Johanneskirche
Pia filiorum devotio parentibus in coelos abeuntibus erigi iussit huius epitaphii insignia. Nothing against filial piety but is it an excuse for mixing up all available typebox fonts.(The eptiaphs can be roughly dated by looking at the worn Sunday clothes. This one dates from a time when soldiers still carried paper cartridges in their oversized coat pockets. The Zapata bandoliers came later.)
| Wäschenbeuren, Johanneskirche Epitaph wall. The sponsors as attendant figures. Scaled dawn by social position. The transfiguration of the thorns into an astral crown is somewhat unusual.
