Prunus padus
The raceme type flower cluster.

The tree has a very bad reputation with artists. Occasional name tag 'kitsch-tree'. The term may have originally implied that the berries were unsuitable for human consumption. 'Des nèfles', French counterpart, as valued as medlar berries, likewise not exactly a compliment.
