Should have waited for a cloud break. - The windows sport standard strap hinges, the front door is however pivot hinged. No close up. I noticed it only afterwards. - Village name parsing: Gronau (= green [Angles]-ey)

The corner plaque of the press house which still showcases name of an 18th century village mayor. The formatting is mildly progressive formatting (the 6 cuniform dots between words). Caviling, it should be 32 according to the ASCII code for space but still better than nothing. (This is a so called corner plaque. Bernhard's lieutenant got his name on the less privileged face, the one not in line-of-sight with the market square.)

Cemetery view of the decommissioned city hall (the dish in matching roof tile color). The lowslung press house is on the other side.  In between, the lime tree centered town square in between. The state of the art public toilets were closed. (One chance in six.)

A sudden multitude of gnomes might describe it best. (Must be one of those rifts in the multi-dimensional fabric.)

The bidding for the kingdom is under way. (Wheelbarrows aweigh, rear lifted.)

All is well in gnome land. (The one with the hand in his leather-hosen pocket looks creepy. Would probably make a good sergeant. A halfway stuck nictitating membrane nearly a must. Selfsame drooping eyelid as the game keeper in the second picture.)

This lantern always points to the nearest cave. If a misogynic Crombie can do it.
Enlarge photo 14 Gronau
it is not the lantern that counts, it is the gesture

Contestants line up: Winnie the Pu, a lantern bearer, Grouchy and the winner, the dwarf with the endless flowing beer stein.

This is Mindy (I could not get up a close up on Snow White)

Oscar Wilde book cover inspiration. No, no need to put a pomegranate on your head.

A Romeo you expect and what do you get. That Amor has some explanation to do.

Yes, I always sleep on railroad tracks. The ballast stone is good for my back. Why do you ask.
