Do not know if it belongs: Platonic solids were once reasonably popular as mantelpiece knickknacks. Some surviving artifacts date from Roman time. An afterlife as Xmas tree ornaments is possible. (Tongue in cheek: The tree in question was only invented to provided overflow space for just such gewgaws.)
