Puig de S'Aguila
'Eagle eyrie' with cresting wave.  [The partitive 'de' is excrescent. The partitive meaning should already be implied by the toponym 'Son' which is  a contraction of Latin "is (or cis) de inde". The Saint word is 'sant'. Unrelated.]

Panning the whole spur, from Puig de S'Aguila to Talaia de Son Jaumell. The hiking trail to Cala Mesquida goes over the Coll de Marina, the saddle between the two peaks.

Wave swept, lentil shaped rock. Reputedly mistaken for a flying saucer by some poet laureate in Deia.

Comes with a near unlimited number of retakes. Neptune's screen actors guild is generous.

The usual flotsam. The dead animals are gone. (More than unlikely that my en passant reporting had anything to do with it. The beach is still well frequented even in low season.) There will be a more general spring clean up.

Totem of a life guard. AWOL flag. Left over from a local Lord of the Flies shoot. As an aside, most schoolyard glasses are prescribed for myopic vision and would not work for focusing light. Wrong curvature. Reading glasses even as bifocals do not belong.  - Did also spot a pale head and a trident bobbing in the outer surf. Possibly a toilet floater with some release gear still attached. Cannot explain the catamaran balance.

See nothing wrong with a blazing barbecue grill and a few gallons of starter fluid. What in the world could catch fire.
