apple trees in the oats
a cortege of stilted apple trees - (would not like to be the drill sergeant of that sorry shower). Some more or less picturesque NATO translation on record. [In case you ever wondered why military shower facilities lack curtains. Emergency poncho material of sorts. Only takes a pair of scissors. If you look like one why not also dress up like one. - Would not necessarily recommend it.]

traditional grassland orchard
Somewhat of a challenge to come up with an automatic harvester for that type of tree.

numbered tree

Not a good picture. Disruptive background, cut off branch. But one of the few apple trees which still bears an auction number. Municipal custom. All village owned tree were auctioned off at harvest time, or so it is told. (Nothing speculative, future trade like. Any prospective bidder could estimate the yield before placing his bid.)

Solitary poplar. - [It is sometimes claimed that Napolean used batteries of cannons to plant those. Tricky part: to cast the lignation spell on the resulting plumes of smoke at just the right moment. Some pyrotechnical 'spicing' is customary.]
