Alpine Boulder Company Products
Alpine Granite is carefully harvested from a historic 1800's Granite Quarry property at the outskirts of Haines, Oregon. In the late 1800's large stones were hand split and hand shaped into building stone blocks that grace historic buildings in Baker City, Haines and La Grande Oregon.
Today the beautifully smooth, rounded and lichen covered boulders, ranging in size from several hundred pounds to five tons or more are carefully harvested with special equipment that prevents disfiguring the colorful lichen growth on each boulder.
In addition to boulders there is a considerable quantity of special column, sculpture and specimen pieces that have been exposed to the elements since the late 1800's when the workers split these pieces off of a boulder in the course of shaping building stone blocks. |
