Tekram Roofing and Construction Services; aka Tekram Services, LLC 2585 Fourth St., Fort Myers, FL. This company was hired based on our realtors recommendation (no fault is blamed on our realtor as he acted in what he thought was good faith) even though they were highest of 3 quotes. 90% of work was done by self proclaimed subcontractors who all but one could not speak English and then hard to understand. They arrived in a bus (up to 14) type van and some had beach sandals on feet to work on roof.. They brought multiple home size air compressors very old and used small jack hammers on roof spraying tile pieces everywhere with some using tire irons and others just hammers (left us over $500 electric bill). Daily left their lunch papers and drink cups/cans on lot next to us and we had to clean up after them. Another self proclaimed subcontractor put new soffit/fascia part way on and never came back to finish. He also said he always did the skylights for Texram but he was obviously upset they did not this time and said our skylights were a mess and that is what they got for always trying to save money. (The owner of Texram denies he uses subcontractors to us and by Oscar, the General Manager, prior to starting then again in front of us and Morris Law firm's paralegal by the owner Brad, though then why did the shingles group and the fashia installer & helper tell us they were? What are we to believe?). Cape Coral inspector came, told inspector roof leaking multiple places and he passed the roof. Why get a permit if roof passes leaking and soffit and fascia falling off house and job not done? This has been a horrible experience. Obviously warranty not good when never finished job to begin with. Never would give us insurance information as requested. (Update finally did 2 years+ later).

Album starts with home photos before roofer started for comparison and rest shows the damages and home like they left it less than month later. They started roof a couple weeks after we bought the home. The roofing job was totally unprofessional and kept getting promises everything would be fixed. After 3 home inspections of the damages by the owners they at first stated turning over to insurance company as damage so extensive and over their $5,000 deductible. Then 3 days later gave low ball offer as stated had a recent claim and their premiums would go up, said they were done with it and final offer. I texted and emailed pleading with them to turn over to their insurance like first told us they would but they refused. Now through attorney want to inspect 4th time as right to inspect like 3 times wasn't enough? Just another game we feel they are playing as if a year of dealing with this has not been enough stress on us. We would never recommend this company to anyone.
They also did not clean up with exception of pressure washing (straight water) dock into the canal and driveway shooting the debris all over the lawn and shrubs as did not sweep and ineffective as first rain and more debris from lawn back on both. They tried to pressure wash house starting with guest bedroom and shot water into the house through windows as on so high a pressure and I was shouting to stop and just waved at me as could not understand my English. That ended the only clean up they did.
We have over a hundred more photos and listing agent said has about a 100. We also have dozens of texts and then also emails that confirm time frame of damages and reporting same to Oscar, the General Manager, with photos attached. We also had home inspection just weeks previous with our realtor and a friend who were present. Our pool service also stated can attest to condition of pool area. Have friends who can attest as well as neighbors and listing and selling realtors. All photos are dated on my camera phone and Amazon cloud as to date taken to verify time frame.
Note: 2 years later City of Cape Coral fined Tekram per letter copy received $5,000. Said retiring inspector obviously did drive by inspection as never should have passed inspection.

House as when we made offer and moved in on Dec. 28, 2015.
Photo from realtor Sept. 2015 four months prior and how it looked when we bought home. Mulch ruined, shrubs and trees died as whatever in white dust from tile removal on roof and being tramped on as well as latters, and more drug through killed all landscaping. Even used the decorator front wall as saw horse to cut wood.
Family room prior to roofer
Family room and eat in area prior to roofer
Shows landscaping and soffit and fashia prior to roofer, Sept. 2015 taken by realtor. All the landscaping including tree dead and all mulch gone as spread all over yard. See below photo taken after roofer got through with out landscaping.
Note how clean pool cage is and no holes in screen. now blackish pool cage from tar and black paper falling all over pool screen and running color onto pool cage. Pool area prior to roofers. Photos after this are documentation of what damage we mostly have not fixed yet except get all dead landscaping trees and bushes out and mulch picked out of grass which took weeks.
Laundry room prior to roofer. The shelf above washer and dryer fell off wall when the delivery of material truck dumped huge pile of shingles on roof shaking whole house. Sounded like bomb going off. Drywall repaired, waiting on painting and then put shelf unit back up. Just painted 4 months earlier. Found 2 slabs leaks caused at time that requires whole house repipe, repairs would not work.
Prior to roofer. Pool screen not damaged and screen enclosure white, not blackened with black from roof paper and etc. Pool redone and new enclosure screen as well as all tile and pavers were only 4 years old. Previous resident paid $17,000 per next door neighbor in late 2012 just prior to cancer diagnosis.
Prior to roofer when we bought it and moved in Dec. 28, 2015.
Grass, shrubs and dock prior to roofer. Note the shrubs all dead as were covered in white tile dust. Roof Smart state they cover all shrubs, pool, enclosures prior. This was NOT done.
Kitchen, see the tree through window? It died as buried in white dust and all shrubs basically stoned. Took us hundreds and hundreds of hours clean up, they left clean up to us. They only pressure washed the dock which lasted to first rain and the white dust all over lawn went right back on it. Put all that white dust and stones that was on dock into canal, not sure that legal?
Prior to roofer, loads of dust and chips of tile went everywhere, house was filthy. Whole house was pristine and a cleaning crew had just been in. By lifting out skylights and not cleaning roofing area prior
Family room prior to roofer
Family room prior to roofer
Bath prior to roofer. Caulk and grout fine as well as no water marks like currently. That whole wall to outside got hit with water over and over, they poured some tar on shingles and threw mess of caulk on and slowed down but still leaks (we had drywall repaired but already has mold again as still getting wet).
Before roofer
Before photo, grass fine in back and white enclosure not blackened. Bushes alive and grass green.
Taken Oct. 2015 when looked at house before new roof.
Taken during home inspection. This room walls and ceiling damaged during roof and thereafter, it has now been repaired with drywall and just had walls painted week of 20th. Ceiling cannot be repaired/painted untill skylights replaced.

FROM HERE ON IS HOME A FEW WEEKS LATER AND DAMAGE DONE BY ROOFER. They started roof a couple weeks after we bought home. Some of tile chips from roof this photo.
Board left after roofers said done.
Clean up left for us. Landscape damage as seen in photos.
Pool had so much debris ruined new pool filter and had be buy another.
Leak after roof on. Still leaking year later.
Look even?
Tiny leak before roofers and stated would take care of that first but left and still leaking. Got so bad one point water running out of bath down hallway.
Skylights installed we are told improperly, black paper showing rim, drywall stained from leaks
Delivery truck hit mailbox
Truck delivery of 2 trash containers car width, put 2 next to each other in a single car driveway causing damage
one of containers, wood did not go underneath
Container had trash in before loaded with our job. Rusty over bottom. Hit our landscaping as 2 containers side by side too large for our driveway.
Rust, scraps from container and debris from roof left to us to clean up.
Screen enclosure debris including shingle parts, black paper, nails and one whole shingle made all filthy and tore screen numerous areas.
lso the downspount underground drain pipe to canal had so much black paper, tile chunks etc. that it is plugged and cost estimate $400 to replace.
skylights 5 years old, they pulled them up and said were not going to and put back uneven, black paper uneven which they tried to straighten without redoing causing wrinkled in paper for leaks
landscape damage
skylight uneven, leaked
shows lawn full of tile dust
Tile dust and chips from roof everywhere, also see next photo, and killed landscaping and total mess.Did not cover and used small jackhammers (saw 4) and pry bars and hammers.
Tile dust from jackhammers and hammers.
landscape and paver damages
pool paver embedded with roof tile chips
pool tile chipped
Bathroom leak
ceiling lanai leak from skylight
White wet paint resulting from skylight leak from lanai ceiling comes every rain to this day
skylight, paper sticking around, uneven, scraped up skylight itself
Dust from tile and spread our newer mulch all across lawn
uneven shingles
In the corner at roof left opening to outside. Cat got in and had kittens while we were out of state unaware then what they had done. Neighbor called, we rushed back and had to tear out a chunk of wall and ceiling as kittens got stuck in crawl space attic, we saved them but had to bottle feed before Lee County would take. Fire Department was called.
Black tar paper or overuse of tar stained gutters.
Debris on tiles and after we swept three times
chipped our pool tile
debris in pool
Damage from dumpsters
Numerous areas where points did not overlap against protocol as water gets in and ruins wood underneath. Seams do not meet up. Also told the top fashia piece at roof is installed wrong per 2 roofing companies.
landscape damage
damage to house by tile flying, sample of such all around home
window ledge full of chips from tile roof tear off
This and other photos here show tile chips and dust everywhere, killed all landscaping.
piles of white chips and tile dust from tile roof being chipped off
Shows water getting between as installed wrong at edges and tried to caulk to compensate rather then redo properly per 2 other roofers we had come out.
Tile damage flying at house
look even, look at edges
landscape and paver damage)Beautiful decorative tree could not be saved. Also did not help that got pressure washed (just this area and guest bedroom outside). This was after pressure wash and our clean up so take a guess how bad it started out as.
Almost new mulch and this is tile pieces from roof. They left smoke buts everywhere in landscaping and trampled and drug work equipment through.
This was all nicely landscaped with about 2 inch deep red new mulch, this is what we ended up with.
The white tile dust killed these within weeks, shows piece fashia that fell off. Tree in photo with white tile film died
paint damage
White roof tile dust, trampled on and getting hit by debris killed these shrubs all in front. We tried to clean them, paid to have special fertilizer and could not save any but a few ground plants.
Another hole left open, we have tempp. piece taped up. Look at fashia/soffit
roof chips
The hole, one of two left open
Damage to entrance outside tile
paint chipped
Look at miter job here
landscape damage evrrywhere
Does this look professional as this is how they did the work.
Fashia/soffit damaged 3 side of house. Rain water flows under drip edge.
Look far top deep inside. The roofer stuck a piece of fashia in temp with caulk and was to pick up what was needed to fix correctly. Fell of before even done with roof and left openings (2 like this) which to this day is duct taped in by my husband as never fixed although called and called. Was to paint match where paint chipped off, brought dark brown paint (not color matched) and then never did fix as we refused the brown (same with chimney that was promised this painting included).
uneven shingle job. Scraped up gutter.
Uneven shingles
All the hip roof areas except one they redid are not straight, shingles are not flat all over and some have no nails holding them.
Holes in pool enclosure screens
drip edge we are told was not correctly installed reason water coming in before roofer even near done. To correct just caulked which is no solution to incorrect installation.
This is all new, what a mess is what it looks like on our home.
We swept up chunks of tile for weeks but we could not get the tile dust out. They never did clean up.
This is driveway damage as is next few photos. Was way worse but we pressure washed with special recommended solution and got it only this far.
paint damage from them chipping tile off roof see others throughout.
Broken sprinklers, lots
stucco chipped, paint damage
Terrible corners
fashia falling off (eventually fell to ground)
water pours between drip edge and soffit
lanai ceiling cracking at seams from skylight leaks
When lifted skylights out we were sitting in our 2 leather recliners. Did not clean up tile debris and fell 2 stories down on us, chipped furniture and new tile in places
Drywall repair.
Where water leaked on King Mattress from guest bedroom ceiling.
Drywall repairing, panted family room walls only, ceiling cannot be painted until skylights repaired/replaced.
drywall repair
drywall repair
Above lanai shows wet and also found that roofer put new plywood on BUT failed to tell us or fix dry rotted beam they nailed new wood into
Nestar Roofing, their skylight specialist they use took these series of photos. Poured tar to try to stop leaks and some did stop but a quick fix not acceptable on brand new roof, a mess. He found areas where the shingles are not even nailed, the edges around home shingles not correct applied, they poured black tar/caulk around skylights to stop leaking, outside ones still do, but will not last and a fix to get old roof to last but not acceptable on new and were not done correctly from word go.
See desc. photo 167
Just one of the broken now not functioning pulled out of ground sprinkler and line.
This area is where wood edge redone by Tekram and new wood miter really bad (see later photos))
Neighbor and husband trying to temp tape up fashia to keep cats from getting in. Few weeks later drywall contractor found some used pieces that do not fit perfect but at least not as bad as duct tape holding pieces there. Roofer took all this down and put new board and angled wrong as obviously did not know carpentry as did not know how to miter.
Had to tape up fashia front of house as fell completely off. Later our drywall contractor brought some used pieces that did not quite fit but better than this. There was no damage here previous. Put new board and not angled right and fashia we had no longer fit.
Temp taped up as fell to ground front of house. Fell again and the drywall contractor put some not fitting but doable for emergency used pieces up there for us. No damage to this area prior,
Damage to plastic sunroof. We witnessed the subcontractor to roofers laborer drag shingles over them rough side down as well.
Water damage at skylight with crack, waiting to drywall and paint ceiling until skylights properly professionally installed new.
Drywall repair at leak at family room outside wall.
Stain at ceiling where water poured down, also ruined king size mattress
Water ran down wall and ceiling in bath over tub
Bath ceiling again
Water stain drywall patch bedroom
Water stain bedroom wall, patch drywall repair and painted just one section as behind door.
Compare to before roofer photos. Landscaping died from white roof dust and chips, they walked all over and through it. Dragged latters, boards and etc.right through. All died and new mulch all in the lawn and landscaping cloth a total loss as well.
Landscape died. Same as #227. (Costly to get rid of dead and lots of funds to replace landscaping, put down landscape barrier cloth and mulch, Huntsman Landscaping quoted $2400 without the cloth and just mulch and did not include planting or fixing brick and decorative concrete.
Compare this to how looked before roofers. 90% done by non English obviously unskilled laborers who brought in by club bus type vehicle. A few had beach rubber thongs on their feet up on our roof. Roofer would not give us his insurance (he had said he would but did not or workmens comp which is scary).
Broken sprinkler lines and head all different areas. Spent $350 but got temp pump fix and few heads enough to get going but timer will not connect.
Broken sprinkler line pulled out of ground
White tile dust all inside and out, chips on unit from tile dust. We cleaned and cleaned and best we could do.
Look at front of house same shot almost on listing taken Sept. 2015 and look what like AFTER the roofer.
Note nails this photo and next, nals got into pool which caused staining to near perfect finish.
Tar paper up there a week before shingles started.
bad miter
What a miter job, was worse, this was 4th try with handsaw using our decorative wall as saw horse. No wonder soffit and fascia fell off, did not even meet end to end.
Nail on screen, had them in pool staining pool coating and we picked up nails for weeks.
The 35 feet of new installation, look new? It fell down.
shows as sliding off roof
When dropped this it shook house and dropped load both sides. Driveway got crack from weight then tore up our front and neighbors lot next door. The laundry room shelf fell off from house shake and we got 2 major slab leaks.
This little overlap was all protection they gave our pool screen which did little with tile and more shooting down and did not use other parts of home to protect ladnscaping etc.
Black part shingle cut through screen
chipped tile bottom of pool
Pool screen had so much tile pieces, black paper, and shingle sections hitting it this resulted.
Chips from tile removal on roof in pool and on pool tile
Holes all over various areas
skylight damaged. Oscar who dealt with realtor than ourselves from roofing company said skylights were not to be removed as said since do not leak don't fix. When finally got him to come out to look he said no one touched skylights than when found out the crew had pulled them out and put back he got angry and shouting in spanish at the crew and then promised me he would see all fixed. He made this promise about all mishaps and never made good on anything.
A whole shingle flew through this spot and I was about 2 feet from it when came down.
Our porcelain outside entry tile. Tried cleaning with hand cleaner than helper pulled out a knife and scraped which took off color in areas.
Debris in pool and on our tile.
Aerial view before roofer showing landscaping.
Sample of dead shrubs before we had removed.
??Rain going between wood and soffit trim piece
Following 4 photos some of driveway
This and next two show driveway damage
broken sprinkler line yanked out of ground
We repaired lanai beam and in doing so found roofer haf nailed new roof plywood sheeting into rotten wood not telling us.
Kittens born in crawl space from mama car entering where facia fell due to bad trim board miter and roofer used old facia which no longer fit.
New plywood installed om roof by Tekram was nailed into rotten support and they did not tell us (roof leakig there in addition).
New roof plywood nailed into rotten support without telling us.
Finally days after all tile off and paper on roof on a Thursday and after big winds hit put tarp over pool to late after our asking since beginning to cover.

This email is to Brad Market, owner Tekram. He had reneged on two day earlier which said he was turning over to insurance company damages as higher than his $5,000 deductible, apologized and said he would personally oversee finding leaks and finish roof. Made us 2 low ball offers of $1500 off balance for screen over pool and few patches on damage but he refused to fix or finish roof.
Just showing that using multiple small jackhammers on roof to take off tile shook house horrible caused multiple water line slab leaks. Had to get whole house repiped. Home Inspector checked for slab leaks prior and fine.
