~Sea of Color~
This set of beads is one of my very favorite styles and it is BY FAR my favorite glass to work with!!! The reaction between the Raku and the other silvered glass I used, is just so wonderful! The colors BURST, from the flame, when heated at high temperatures, and it creates a sea of color on each piece of art glass. I simply LOVE working with reactive glasses!!!
The colors range from caramel, buttery cream, turquoise, purples, blues, greens, mauve, fuschia and black. The spacers are made from dark peacock plum, which has a metallic sheen on the surface. The details on the pillows are handpulled murrine, handmade by myself, from raku and intense black glass. They remind me of sea urchins or those little creatures that cover the coral reefs. The other details are made from metallic shimmery glasses and even some pure silver wire! These beads are so full of detail, yet have a natural, organic look, to compliment your handmade artisan jewelry!
