Baxter
| Baxter is 6yo 15 pound smart and quirky rattie. He is eager to please and is insistent on getting the attention he deserves. He was surrendered by his first family because they couldn't give him enough attention. There was a new born and another dog in the home but he is unsure about older children. While at the shelter his behavior began to fall apart as his anxiety rose. He was moved to a quieter shelter but did not improve and during an adoption visit he snapped at a perspective family. We instantly saw a behavior improvement when he was brought home and added to our crew. We still have work to do with leash walking but most of his triggers can be managed. He has learned sit, he goes to his crate for meals and treats when someone is at the door. He likes to be brushed and makes sure he gets the best cuddle spot on the bed. Baxter would be best fit for someone who can keep him engaged, is firm and doesn't let him call the shots and doesn't have kids or cats. |
