Print policy

How ImageEvent print orders work — who sells them, who makes them, shipping, color and crop, and when we reprint or refund.

Who sells the print

ImageEvent is the seller. You pay ImageEvent by card (Stripe). Sales tax is calculated at checkout from your shipping address where ImageEvent must collect it. After payment, we send each line to the lab you chose. That lab produces the print and ships it. Card data is handled by Stripe and is not stored by ImageEvent.

The three labs

You pick a lab for each product. Prices and strengths differ by material. Mix labs in one cart if you want — you may get more than one package, and you pay each lab’s shipping.

Best everyday value on photo prints

Prodigi

US partner network · ships to the United States

Prodigi routes your order to US photo labs in its network. That usually means the lowest price on standard photo sizes, solid color, and straightforward shipping. Pick Prodigi when you want classic photo paper without paying for wall-art finishes.

  • Often the lowest price on standard photo sizes
  • Wide US partner network
  • Good default when you just want a classic print

Strongest choice for canvas, fine art & metal

Lumaprints

Anaheim, California · ships to the United States

Lumaprints runs its own lab in Anaheim and focuses on wall pieces — gallery canvas, archival fine art papers, and metal. That specialty usually shows in color depth and finish quality on larger sizes. Choose Lumaprints when the print is meant to hang, not sit in an album.

  • Own California lab — built for wall art, not just snapshots
  • Excellent canvas wraps and archival fine art papers
  • Metal prints with rich color and a modern finish

Gooten is a print-on-demand network spanning photo paper, canvas, metal, fine art, framed, acrylic, cards, and mugs. Pricing stays competitive on photos, and the wall-art lineup fills gaps when you want the same size in more than one material. A strong all-around pick when you are comparing labs side by side.

  • Competitive photo pricing alongside wall art
  • One network for paper, canvas, metal, framed, and more

Who can order

You can order prints of your own photos. Visitors can order only when the album owner has turned prints on for that album, and only when they can already view the photo.

How to order

A multi-photo print workspace is available from the album Order flow so you can build a larger cart without leaving the album.

  1. Open an album

Select a photo, or several in the print workspace.

  2. Choose the product

Type (photo, fine art, canvas, metal, framed, acrylic, cards, posters, mugs), size, and lab.

  3. Crop and add

Use Fill or Fit, set quantity, add to cart.

  4. Check out

Pick shipping speed (United States only), then pay with Stripe.

Color, crop, and resolution

Color and crop

Fill shows a dashed print window matching the paper size — drag to reframe and zoom to crop (like a drugstore print kiosk). Fit shows the whole photo with white borders if the aspect ratios do not match.

Photos are sent as sRGB JPEG. Color on paper will not match every screen. Labs calibrate their own presses; slight variation between labs and between screen and print is normal.

Resolution (DPI)

  • Below about 100 DPI — that size is not offered.
  • Between 100 and 150 DPI — you must confirm the print may look soft.
  • Above 150 DPI — good for that size under normal viewing.

We do not refund a print for softness you confirmed at order time.

Pricing and payment

Retail prices on the site are what you pay for the product. Shipping and tax are added at checkout. We do not discount lab shipping. Payment is by card through Stripe. After you pay, the order is submitted to the lab(s); production usually starts soon after.

Change of mind Once the lab has started production, we cannot cancel for a change of mind. Contact us right away if you spot a problem before production begins — we will help when we still can.

Shipping

We ship to the United States. Checkout offers Economy, Standard, and Express; each lab maps those to its own carriers. Times below are typical for US delivery (production plus transit).

Economy Standard Express
Typical US ETA 5-9 business days 3-6 business days 1-3 business days
after the lab ships
Prodigi Budget — often a low flat rate on same-size photo runs Standard Express
Lumaprints USPS Ground Advantage — ZIP-based Parcel ground 2-day
Gooten Standard (price often rises with quantity) Same method as Economy on Gooten Expedited

Times are typical, not guarantees. Shipping is United States only for now. Your full address at checkout is what we fulfill to. Use the shipping calculator for a live sample — your cart quote still wins.

Orders ship to: United States.

A mixed-lab cart may ship as separate packages. Each shipment gets its own tracking when the lab provides it. We do not discount lab shipping.

Tracking and status

After you pay, you get a confirmation with an order number and a link to follow status. We email you again when tracking is available. Open the confirmation link anytime to see lab status (queued, in production, shipped) and tracking when the lab has labeled the package.

Reprints and refunds

Write to orders@imageevent.com with your order number. Include photos of damage when you can — that speeds up a reprint.

We reprint or refund when

  • The lab damages a print or ships a defective product
  • The wrong photo or wrong size was produced
  • The carrier loses the package

Refunds are issued by ImageEvent through Stripe.

Not covered

  • Change of mind after production has started
  • Low resolution you acknowledged
  • Normal screen-to-print color difference
  • Carrier delays after the package is labeled (we still help chase tracking)

Privacy

To fulfill an order we share with the lab and its production partners: recipient name, address, email, phone if you provided one, and the photo file needed to make the print. We keep the order record, including what you paid and the lab cost. Labs download the image over a signed, time-limited URL for production only.
