If you are looking for
a sturdy little dog, that has that happy-go-lucky attitude,
and is as loyal and devoted as the day is long, then the Rat Terrier may
just be the dog
for you. These hardy little canines will gladly take a 5 mile hike with
you and yet be
just as willing to be your co-couch potato during football season.
They are intelligent, sensitive and very loving. They make great house
dogs
and are easily crate trained. They have one of the calmest temperaments of
all the
terrier breeds, but they do need daily exercise and lots of companionship.
They love to sleep in the bed with you, and I do mean in the bed,
as they love to snuggle under the covers.
My Rat Terriers are AKC and UKC registered and are standard/mini size.
They are bred for temperament, hardiness, and correct rat terrier breed type and standards.
I believe a rattie's personality and dispostion is just as important as their conformation.
I have been in love with the rat terrier breed since 2002. I have raised and bred multiple litters. I started showing my ratties in the UKC show ring in 2011 & the AKC show ring in 2013. We are so proud that our Kitchi has made it in the 2014 UKC Top Ten Breed Standings and his son Anoki in the 2016 UKC Top Ten Breed Standings for Rat Terriers!
Our ratties ARE NOT KENNEL DOGS. They live in the house with us, as they are part of our family. We enjoy spending quality time with them. They love everything from hiking to bass fishing or just plain hanging out in the back yard with family.

We are completely heartbroken to share the passing of our heart dog Kitchibee. We are beyond grateful and blessed that we had almost 18 years with beautiful soul. Not only did he set the standard for conformation in our breeding program, he had the disposition, drive & heart of a champion. There was never a more loyal and loving rattie. You were so loved my best boy and you are missed. You will always be in my heart❤️

It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of our dear sweet Yepa. I can not even begin to tell you how very blessed we have been to have had this sweet soul in our lives these past 13 years. She and her brother Bodhi are so the reason for my love of rat terriers. You will be forever in our hearts...her absence in our lives is felt everyday...love you forever my chunk monkey

I am so very proud of these past pups! They are becoming such beautiful dogs! Thanks so much to the Inman's for giving Tehya such a great home and to Martina and Brian giving Hazelnut one as well! Please enjoy watching them grow up with us!
We have a small breeding program here. Our dogs are not Kennel dogs, they live in the house with us and are part of our family. We enjoy spending time with our ratties and they are pretty much involved in everything that we do here.
