Yeah, I've been slacking on the updates a bit. But not a lot has been happening. We made the executive decision to take the whole house down to the studs and drywall - even the sheathing and insulation that look ok are going. We did this because the smell came back in some of the rooms we had closed up after removing only what appeared to be damaged. By removing all of the insulation and letting the studs air-dry for a few days, we hope to vanquish the musty smell forever.....
"It has come to our attention that bleach is the wrong substance for remediating mold. Common household bleach is mostly water. Dilute the bleach with water and you mostly mostly have water. Water was the reason there was mold. Make sense?" --R. Daniel, 02/29/08
