2 Disc brooch/pendant with moonstone amethyst (satin glass) cabochons and purple inlays. The cross is meant to look like an 'x' not a '+' as indicated by the position of the brooch bar and pendant loop. Signed MIRACLE BRITAIN.
3 Necklet with Early Anglo-Saxon style animal ornament, sometimes called the 'Pictish' Necklet by A Hill & Co, the manufacturers. Unique design code 299, designed and first produced in the 1970's and still in production until very recently (c.2009-2010). It is NOT rare. There are a lot of them about and also matching rectangular earrings (design 300).
Retailed in 2003 for £24.95, and in 2008 for £29.95 (manufacturer's prices), and therefore the value of $500-$575 suggested in the book - Brilliant Rhinestones by Ronna Lee Aikins - is misleading. This book also suggests that the piece dates from the 1930's which is not correct.

Have recently acquired this necklace, which is signed on reverse 5 times. The necklace is identical to this, apart from the bars consist of 3 turquoise squares with 1 red glass piece to top and bottom. Can you give me any information about this necklace and/or possible value? Amazing site, I use it often! Many thanks - Caroline, Sat, 12 Sep 2015 5:12AM
