Restringing a Wood Lacrosse Stick
Repairing, refinishing and restringing an old wood lacrosse stick. These wood sticks (made of hickory wood) were used up until the early 1970s for the game of lacrosse. They are still made and used by Native American lacrosse players for use in the present (2013). This stick belongs to a friend of mine who used it to play when he was in high school. The rawhide side wall, the leather laces and the "catgut" (sheep intestine) "net" were all mildewed and unusable. | Album by Tom Mills. Photos by Tom Mills. 1 - 49 of 49 Total. 0 Visits. |
