Mitzi
Mitzi is a low key, mature adult, 14 pound rat terrier girl looking for her perfect forever home. For adoption info or an application, please visit the New Rattitude Website.
Gorgeous 10 year old girl Mitzi is ready to find her furever home!
Once you earn her trust, Mitzi seeks your attention frequently, especially if another dog is nearby. She may ask for belly rubs, but if she doesn't like the way you are doing it, she might make some squeals and scurry away.
Although Mitzi needed a dental when she arrived, she is interested in chewing on long lasting chews like Benebones. Offering these in the future may keep her teeth in better shape.
Mitzi loves time outdoors and hopes her new family has some outdoor space where she can lounge in the sun or shade.
Mitzi often seems to sit with a lean- the vet says her hip mobility isnt as good on that side, but its just a part of being an older gal.
Download MPEG4 6 While she may have interest in toys for a few minutes if you offer them in the morning, she isn't very interested on her own.
Mitzi and her foster sister ready for a walk. They walk great together as both enjoying "marking" the neighborhood.
Who, me?
Download MPEG4 9 Rolling around while wagging her tail. This happens around people she trusts and she might even pause long enough to let you rub her belly.
outdoor snoozles
and indoor snoozles- see a theme here?
Mitzi loves to follow her people around the house, outside, or wherever they go. She even rides well crated in the car if she can go along.
Download MPEG4 13 What a good walker! Mitzi only walks one speed, which may seem fast if you have short legs, or slow if you have long legs. In reasonable temperatures, Mitzi is happy to walk up to four miles, although she enjoys many short walks most days.
While she does a lot of snoozing, Mitzi actually stays very alert if you happen to be preparing a meal in the kitchen- always ready for a snack, I mean, ready to help.
Such cuteness.
Do you need a friend to keep you company while you work from home? Mitzi is also great to help you with taking short walking breaks throughout the day, although you may need to wake her up for that.
Cute girl.

Mitzi is pretty good at "sit" and "up". She is working on some other commands like "lay down", as well as learning to use a scratch board for nail filing.
This girl gives some of the strongest side eye I've seen in a while. Clearly preferring to do things her way.
When on alert looking out the window, Mitzi gets her ears up to their highest point, not quite fully up.
Ears up!
Silly girl on her first walk with her foster family- everything was new!
