There's no doubt that Tate is a cutie.
But the adult dogs in her foster home say she is an acquired taste. She's a good girl but definitely is one to see how far she can push the big kid dogs before they have had enough of her.
Like any teething puppy, Tate likes to chew so she is getting frozen chew toys and lots of appropriate things to keep her mouth busy.
She does well seeing new places as long as she gets reinforced with treats to help her learn that great things happen at this new area. Here she is exploring a park in Blaine WA.
While she is definitely high energy now as a pup, I would think that as an adult she will be a medium energy terrier who will do great as long as she gets regular walks and exercise.
She loves to wrestle and play chase with the older dogs in her home and they regularly humor her with play time until they need to tell her they have had enough. She usually is pretty good at listening - except to her timid foster brother who is easy to push around. She needs the humans to step in and make sure she knows she doesn't get to push around dogs.
She did great at her recent vet visit and while she was a bit nervous, she was fine with letting the vet handle her and look in her ears and eyes, and listen to her heart. She even managed to get her shot without any squirming.
