Just an all around beautiful love of a girl.
As you can see, Sal is a bit rotund and is currently working on taking off a couple pounds in her foster home. (update: Sal is now at a healthy weight and looks and feels great!)
She loves to explore the back yard. Here she found a fountain that was a great spot to stop for a sip of water.
A break from rolling in the grass
While she is a bit timid, Salinas loves people and actively seeks out attention.
She loves to roll around - on grass, carpet, over the top of her toys... Such a silly girl.
Pretty girl!
And more rolling around...
This is a stuffed bone that she especially likes. Her sister has one too and they take turns, each sure that the others must be tastier.

Download MOV 11 Salinas loves to roll, on grass, carpet, her toys, or whatever surface she happens to be on at the moment.
While in foster care Salinas has been working on some basic house dog stuff using clicker training. Here she is showing her sit. As goofy as she can be, she can also focus.
Here she is on her first walk. She's not too sure she likes the whole walk thing right now.
While she's a bit nervous as she learns to be comfortable living the life of a house dog, she says as long as there are nice patient people and dogs around, she'll be okay.
Playing tug outside with her sister Chima (Salinas on right side)
Posing with her sister in the shade.
Salinas attended a Rat Terrier meetup at an off leash dog park and did great. While she didn't play with the other dogs much, she did do lots of sniffing and polite greeting of dogs.
She certainly isn't shy about meeting new people. When Sal feels a little anxious, she always turns to people for comfort which is a great skill for a dog to practice!
Silly pose (she was looking for birds but we decided to get a pic of her with the Kindle terrier book I was reading.
Such a beautiful face with a personality to match...
I live alone and there is lots of grass around for rolling. I have no other pets, but she can go to parks with me, and I have friends with small dogs for "play dates". - Beverly Cobain, Wed, 17 Sep 2014 2:21PM
