Buffy is a very beautiful, approximately 2 year old, majority black tri rat terrier.  She came to New Rattitude from a Florida kill shelter.

Buffy has a broken right front leg which is scheduled for repair.  She was to be euthanized at the shelter because of her injury.  She is such a sweet little girl that a volunteer contacted New Rattitude to give her a chance.

Buffy had her spay today, and her leg has been set and casted.  We will know in 6 weeks (around the middle of December) if the cast has worked.  She is on cage rest and leash walking.  And, she didn't get breakfast.

Buffy really is a sweet little girl.  Despite her cast, she can jump up onto the sofa, but is not supposed to get down all by herself.  She uses her sad face to invite you to sit with her and watch tv.

How can you resist my face?  I am adorable!

She's a true snuggle bug.  She loves to watch television while leaning against you.  She had a new cast put on, too, and is really feeling sorry for herself.  It's plaster instead of a soft cast.  But, it's still pink.

Jim came to get her with her foster mom, so she's making sure they have not forgotten her blanket and other stuff that is in her bag.

Now, there are 8 weeks of limited (almost no) activity with weekly checks and bandage changes to begin with.  The doctor says that the surgery looks very good, and all she has to do is heal.

Here she is in her coat that her foster mom made for her.  It's fully lined with fleece to be warm and cozy.  She thinks that if the coat comes out, she's going to the vet.  She really enjoys it!

Darling little Buffy is going to be running around before long thanks to Patti and all involved in her rescue. She has touched our hearts in a very special way by her valiant and courageous spirit.

Hang tough, Buffy!  You're in our prayers for a quick recovery and more snuggle time.

She is beautiful. Oh, I wish my sister could have a dog (not allowed where she lives), as she is in the Atlanta area!

Terry,
I love her !!!!!! She looks like a cross between Hannah and Kelby. You say she is a mini- rattie. How much does she weigh?
How is she doing ?
