1 During the early days coming from the shelter into foster, Georgie hid, shaking in the back of his crate. But he crept out at night to collect toys and bring them to bed.
2 An early sign of progress was when Georgie moved from inside the crate to perching on top of it, still within his special gated area.

4 From the moment he exited his pen, even before any other human contact was permitted, he insisted on sleeping in bed snuggled up with foster mom.
5 Big point of progress came a couple weeks after arrival in foster when foster mom had gained enough trust to feel ok putting a collar on him. She added a GPS tracker just to be on the safe side.
0:276 In late March, Georgie's rule was established--pets from human hands are allowed when the human is reclined. His foster human was delighted to comply. Note the foster sister in the background. These two got along right away with no issues.
7 First time outside came! This came at the end of March. Due to Fears and Concerns a small pen was provided. Georgie spent the first time outside shaking but got in some good sniffing. His fear of the outdoors would soon end.

10 As the bulbs started to get into full swing, foster mom stopped using a leash in the yard since Georgie was great about coming back indoors when asked, or at least following his foster sister in when she was called

0:2112 Yard time includes hanging out with the cats. They are comfortable with each other, though Georgie will chase to solicit play from time to time.
13 As his confidence has grown, his perceived ownership of all toys in the house has increased. He tends to collect them in his chair of choice.
14 He loves to sit in the windowsill and watch the outside world. He's a smart and curious guy. He messed with the plants from time to time, but it's the dirt not the plant he's after.
15 He enjoys a game of chase with his foster sister. Georgie is a high energy dog.
16 Georgie likes small, light toys with squeakers or crinkles. He chases, fetches, and snuggles them. This poor squirrel has endured a good deal of love from him.
18 He's always up for a visit to the chickens at his foster home.
0:2919 The trainer his foster mom consulted about his handshyness asked about his tolerance forhaving his feet touched. By May, that was not an issue. As usual, the human must be reclined.
20 In May, foster mom hosted a small party and Georgie handled it well. He wanted to meet everyone, and even jumped on foster grandpa's lap. He did not permit petting, but he was not scared.
0:2421 His confidence with the bigger dogs nearby has slowly increased, but that can lead to some resource guarding. This video is a good example of his take on a familiar and submissive larger dog. Not bad for a tiny guy.
0:3322 Morning "yoga" routine is when he daily confounds his foster sister with his agility. He keeps her young and is relentless in his pursuit of her.
0:1323 In June, he started leash training on walks outside the yard. The concept was unfamiliar at first but by July, he seems to basically get it. He pulls, but not terribly hard at his size. He's been confident, almost overly so, in his approach to all new and exciting things on walks.
0:1324 In early August, he gained the confidence to play a gentle tug of war. He'd played fetch from the start, but was too intimidated by the human hands for tug of war until this day.
