34 Right after WWII, my dad was working for an auto manufacturer where he made this rough casting out of aluminum. It sat on his workbench in the garage until he moved to Seattle where it then sat on his workbench in the basement. Every so often, he would remark that he was going to finish it. He never explained what he needed to do to finish it though.
Now it is sitting on display in my den.

36 My grandma gave me this robot for Christmas in 1961. I thought it was cool looking. (Back then, the term was "Bosco" which later evolved into "Boss".) But, I was just a little bit too old to play with it. After a few minutes watching it walk across the floor, the motor gave out. So I put the robot on the shelf, and that's where he's been since then.
37 I have this as my desktop background at work. Sometimes, when I get stressed, I just close up all the windows on my PC and stare at Homer.
All done with dinner, waiting for the bill.

42 "String Pod" demonstration. The theory is that by attaching a string to the camera and then pulling up on the string this will stabilize the camera a bit. It didn't work for me.

51 He landed in the wash during a storm, but made it out of the car before it rammed into the bridge support. He was pulled out miles downstream.

61 Thank you Omar. This token of your sympathy is so very much appreciated.
62 Our name was on the list. We were waiting for a table at Ariel's Grotto restaurant inside Disney's California Adventure. The wait was long. I snapped this picture. Then we decided we had waited long enough, and told the nice lady we were not waiting any longer. We went to eat somewhere else.
63 February 3, 1961, Dick York played Hector B. Poole in "A Penny for Your Thoughts", a Twilight Zone episode. Mr. Poole tosses a coin into a box while buying a newspaper at a newstand. The coin stands on end. Suddenly, Hector B. Poole can read minds. This causes him trouble until he goes back and knocks the coin down... restoring him to normalcy. Continued on the next picture...
64 December 14. 2005, I came home and pulled the contents from my pocket and put them on the shelf in the hallway. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that a nickle was standing on end. My pocket knife, USB flash memory stick, and various coins surrounded the nickle, but nothing was touching the coin. I took some pictures. The next morning, I put everything except the standing nickle back into my pocket. I wondered how long it would be before someone knocked the nickle down.
December 16, 2005, I attended the company Christmas Party, and win the grand prize in the raffle... a 52 inch Mitsubishi DLP HD TV. Coincidence?
December 18, 2005, I accidently knock the nickle over before I have a chance to buy a lottery ticket to test the theory. *sigh*
