1 A slingshot dragster is a pretty good way to draw attention.
| 2 I always liked AMC's additions to the muscle-car era.
| 3 A Ford Highboy is always a popular hot rod model, red is hard to miss.
| 4 I'm a 2,2,3 kind of guy...two doors, two seats, three pedals. Since there are very few sports cars I can afford, a truck is a good substitute. This one is eye-caatching.
|
5 One challenge of photographing vehicles at shows is: getting good shots of the interiors without opening the doors.
| 6 A wooden bed is eye-catching, but hardly durable. There are a few companies that sell kits to redo beds, which I'd imagine is a profiitible endeavor.
| 7 A Volkswagen Beetle is a car that I never owned, but I like them for their simplicity, and for the imaginative ways people customized them.
| 8 Obviously this didn't come from the factory this way...
|
9 A bunch of dune buggies showed up. I didn't see any of them leave the parking lot, so there were no scenes like Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in " The Thomas Crown Affair".
| 10 Hot Rodding is about cramming a big engine into a small car. I think this illustrates that concept perfectly.
| 11 How'd you like to gaze at this every morning on your commute to work?
| 12 This straight axle truckster is pretty awesome.
|
13 The intrrior is hardly spacious, but looks reasonably comfortable.
| 14 Maximizing the space is a trick that is hard to master.
| 15 Trucks always catch my eye. this is no exception.
| 16 Bucket seats definitely beat bench seats.
|
17 I left my polarizing filter in the truck, which makes it hard to see the detail of this pinstripe job.
| 18 A photo may be worth a thousand words, but it;'s no substitute for being there. The glare overpowers the striping on this sail panel.
| 19 Not only is this truck nicely striped, it also has some airbrush work on the underside of the bed cover.
| 20 Here's a likeness of the truck that it's on.
|
21 Being out of the sun makes this scroll work show up nicely.
| 22 The inside is as nice as the outside.
| 23 Yellow isn't one of the first colors that come to mind when I think of painting a vehicle, but this works!
| 24 The engraving on the glass is also a nice touch. Paint was added to the inscribed lines after it was etched, making it stand out a touch more.
