Souvenirs
These were all bought at the British Museum souvenir shop.  There are pan pipes, a Bast cat goddess fridge magnet, and a replica of the Rosetta stone.

I got these at Bath.  The Stonehenge replica is about the size of a coaster.  The figure is 'Autumn' and she is not about to stomp on Stonehenge and kick it over, though it's fun to think so.  The incenses are just because I like incense.  The purple is lavender and ylang-ylang, if I recall, and the orange is orange and patchouli.

The ash tray we're using to keep the coins you'll see in the next picture.  The pipe is layers of stained wood, and has a sticker on the bottom that says "U.S. made tobacco pipe".  The silver thing is a Rollmate, and enables one to roll a tapered Amsterdam-style cigarette, which one would doubtless then fill with totally legal tobacco or somesuch.

Souvenirs
The shopkeeper reassured us that this was actual absinthe, and that we could buy one bottle and get it past customs, even though it's technically illegal.  One bottle's just a souvenir.  I'm not sure I even want to try it; I've had someone's homemade stuff before and it tastes like the devil's balls.  Ugh.  Scattered before it are some euro and pound/pence coins.

This is a sex toy.  If that bothers you, it's a 6 piece glass snowman sculpture.  It hasn't been used; note it's lack of bendability.  It sure is pretty though.  It's about 6 1/2 inches tall.

Tasty treats!  Chocolate mint hot chocolate mix and the dish of stuff (cinnamon orange rooibos tea) can be had at www.whittard.com (for less than what I bought it for, actually).  The chocolate spread was found at most Dutch places that did breakfast, and the Marmite in the British places.  The Pastilles and the Easter eggs were bought in a Dutch candy shop and are being eaten... very... very... slowly.  I'm really savouring that high-quality chocolate!

Souvenirs
Here is a picture from Amsterdam's smallest gallery.  It contains two iconic depictions- tulips, and bicycles.  The pictures are about 8x10 and came in simple frames- two pieces of glass with the print sandwiched between them, held together with clips.

Souvenirs
This is the second of our purchases from Amsterdam's smallest gallery, adjacent to the West Church. Our first night in Amsterdam was like this- a Full Moon, though it was cloudy the rest of the time we were there.

Souvenirs
Even though we'd already gotten a canal painting, I was really taken by this watercolor a woman was selling on the street and snagged it.  The colors make me think of Maxfield Parrish.  It's about 11x14 and cost 20 euros.

Studio
Here's the set-up Eric's been using for the pictures.  It's all home-made, but as you can see it works quite well.  He's available for photography!
