1947 3rd owner (bought from a dealer) Bill Spear drives 2442 during a club driving event. Mr.Spear was well known as a winning driver from the beginning of the SCAA Lake Elkhart, Wisconsin, open road races (1950-1952), driving various Jaguars and Ferraris among others.

1947 Friends who knew Bill Spear and saw 2442 in the mid-50s said the colour might have been grey. Note lack of boa horn and box on running board. There's probably no basket.

1974 From the Arizona publication, Town & Country, February 1974: ‘The Barrett family takes its 1913 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost (once owned by a Rothschild) to the desert for a picnic.” 2442 was never owned by a Rothschild and had already been sold to Ken & Mermie Karger in 1973 at Tom Barrett’s auction. They registered 2442 in Pennsylvania in March 1973.
