Day 6 with Madison
We visited the Museum of the Nan-Yue King but weren't allowed to take pictures. So...here's some other pictures we took today.

Chris and Tonya,  I found your site through DTC mates of mine - George and Karen Parsons.  Imagine my surprise when I logged on and realized you are fellow AAO'ers and traveling with our good friends Kathlene, Scot and Sofie.  Your Madison is so beautiful in the pics and Kathlene has shared that she is even more beautiful in person.  :)  It sounds like your little family is having a fabulous time.  Enjoy - this is an experience of a life time.  Seeing your pics makes me want to do it all over again ... for the third time.  :)  P.S.  Please tell Kathlene (when they get back from Zhanjiang) that she is a complete failure when it comes to sharing pics.  We've seen only one photo of Sonja so far and although we've had some emails we really want a picture.  She could learn a lot from you!

What an experience this has been for you both. Thanks for posting the pictures and sharing your trip with us. China is not at all as I expected it to be.

This is why it's difficult to get a smiling picture -- she wants the camera!

Mommy put Maddy to sleep and then moved to the other bed to read. Then Mommy fell asleep, too.(Don't worry, Grandma Hieser and Grandma Beckhoff, in this little room we see and hear her every movement if she starts to wake up.)

She's a pretty good little sleeper. In fact, Daddy is wearing her out while I am posting these pictures. She has been sleeping from about 9:00-6:30 or so the last few days, plus two small naps.

These statutes were on the walkway along the Pearl River. They're "hillbillies" playing fiddles...go figure??

Here is the medical clinic we went to the other day. We passed it again today and decided to get a picture of the outside.

Interesting building we discovered on our walk...there is a big European influence here and also many countries have their consulates here, not just the USA.

Well, I'm becoming more like my mom everyday...I hate every picture of me! But Maddy ended up smiling in this one, so here we are. Try to focus on the baby, okay?
