The cast section of this butterfly is the red cabochons as well as the bottom and top fuchsia chatons.
You can tell that something is a casting from the front because there are no prongs. The stones will be glue set.
Notice this one the cabochons have a rope edging on the casting. This is often seen in D&E castings.
