D&E Necklace Clasps/Dangles

These are the necklace clasps so far determined to have been used by D&E.

Remember

  • A new style could be found at any time.
  • Most of these clasp styles are not exclusive to D&E, so you can not id via clasp

If you can not see the clasp well in the smaller photo click on the photo for an enlargement.  If that is still not large enough at the bottom of the larger photo you will see the word "original".  Click on that for a HUGE version of the photo.

Hooks with the molded heart on the end.

This end finding was designed by D&E but was also used in the designs that were by D&E but made by DEC.

If the necklace or pendant is not marked DEC (and the marking can be hard to find) then it should be D&E.  At least as to our knowledge at this point.

Hook that attaches to the rhinestone chaining but unusual in that it has a navette at the end of the chaining.  You very rarely see that in D&E.

Mr D says they did not put rhinestone on the hook that attach to rhinestone chaining but several designs have been found with rhinestones on the hook.  So either they were special orders, or changed out by the company that purchased them, or maybe even changed out sometime later than that.

This clasp is found on D&E made for Les Bernard, but it is a Les Bernard clasp so you will find NDE that has this clasp.

It is important not to rule out something  because of the clasp, if the clasp could have been changed out.  This necklace is D&E but the clasp has been changed out for a magnetic one.
