Homer Martin Ranch (July 2 - 5, 2004)We had the 2nd annual family vacation weekend at the Homer Martin Ranch. In atttendance were the Grimes' (Sharon, Marcus, Jenna, Sarah, Elli, Ashley and Rocky), the Merritts (Shari, Kenny, Justin and Kevin), the Andersons (Sheila and Robert) and the Stephensons (Jim and Kerri). Unfortunately, due to Patrick's accident, he, Kurt and Jenny were unable to attend. Patrick is recovering nicely and we are all happy that he is still with us and will be able to attend the 3rd annual ranch trip next year.

Patrick's wreck 7.1.04 (July 1, 2004)| Patrick's wreck on I-35, about 8 am. Road debris in the form of a 4x4 piece of lumber came through his windsheild, knocking him unconcious. He flipped the truck 8 times, and came to rest on a guardrail overlooking Onion Creek. Another few feet, and he would have gone down the 80 foot drop to the creek below. Someone is watching over him... |

Bandana Dogs (June 2004)Lacy and Mishka got a new wardrobe. It consists of 8 matching bandanas (1 for each day of the week and an extra for special occasions).
Lacy thinks the bandanas are pretty cool but Mishka could take it or leave it.

Lacy managed to get her baby in some pictures and when Lacy has her baby Mishka usually has a chewy. |

Snow on Valentine's Day - Austin 2004 (February 14, 2004)| This is the first time we have had 1+ inch of snow in Austin since January 1985. The snow came in about 3 AM and I took these pictures at 10 AM when the sun was out and the snow had begun to melt. |

Thanksgiving 2003 (November 28, 2003)Thanksgiving at Sheila and Robert's was very nice. We had good food, good company and a nice fire on the patio which was tended to by Vincent, the 2003 Firemaster.
The first few pictures are of Lacy and her baby. I'll tell you that she loves that baby.

Vacation @ Fox Hollow (July 1, 2003)| We went to the South Llano River in Junction, TX for family vacation just before the 4th. We stayed at Fox Hollow Cabins and they allowed pets. Lacy went on her first ever road trip and both dogs had a blast. |

Homer Martin Ranch - May 2003 (June 1, 2003)We had a wonderful get together at Homer Martin Ranch. We all got there Friday. Kerri and Jim - Sheila, Robert and Brianna - Kayla and her boys, Davy, Matt and Robby - Shari, Kenny and their boys, Justin and Kevin, Patrick and our friends Marcus and Sharon with their girls Jenna and Sara who brought their friend Ellie.
We had BBQ for dinner Friday night and went to the river early Saturday morning with the first wave heading down at 6 AM. The rest of us girls - except Shari, who had to monitor all that testosterone, headed down around 7:30 AM. We spent most of the day at the river either fishing or playing in the water. There were a few nice deeper places to swim and fun was had by all.
We had a pot luck dinner with way toooooo much food. I think next time we go we'll have each family provide one meal rather everyone having to bring all their food from home. We had a whole lot of food left over.
We had a big delicious breakfast - cooked by Robert and Jim on Sunday morning. We all had a great time and hopefully we can do this again sometime soon. |
