Scenic drive to Big Sur (July 3rd, 2005)| Monterey Bay is located to the south of San Jose. Monterey bay is famous for the scenic drive along Highway 1 (both North and South). Monterey Bay has the famous 17-mile drive and the Big Sur. We decided to take the drive up to Big Sur. Big Sur is about 30 miles south of 17-mile drive. The drive itself was awesome with various vista points to watch the Pacific ocean and the wonderful flowers along the scenic drive. Enjoy. |

Yosemite Valley (July 2nd, 2005)| Yosemite Valley - it is one of the top 10 National parks in the United States. Although it is just about 200 miles from our home, the most part of the distance is on Highway 120 which is one lane, curvy and ascending/descending the mountains. But the drive itself is very enjoyable (only during the day). Enjoy the pictures and use them as wallpapers if you need. |

Flowers @ Santa Clara University (July 4th, 2005)| Santa Clara University has an amazing campus and these flowers were sighted while walking within less than 1/2 mile radius inside the campus. Nature at her best. Different kinds of flowers. Unfortunately I dont know the names of most of the flowers. But do enjoy !!! |

San Francisco (August 14, 2004)| Some nice shots at the flowers in Ghirardelli Sqaure and Japanese Tea Garden in SF. Taken with Canon S50 Auto mode. No patience in that cold for manual mode. Probably next time ! Enjoy and use them as your wallpaper at will. |

Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park (February 14, 2004)It was a usual Sunday evening and we (Anu, Ranga and family, Priya, myself and Ramesh) had just returned from Livermore temple and were talking what we would do the next week. The following week was indeed Valentine's day and a long weekend for some of us for the President's day. We all thought why not visit the Giant Sequoias and the Kings Canyon NP (SEKI). Priya had not seen snow at all and I had not seen it too for a while now. It was decided that we would go to SEKI and make it a day's trip. We would return the following evening.
The group was to leave in 2 cars - Anu, Ranga, Radhika and Anu's mom in their car & Priya, Ramesh, Venkat (Ramesh's friend and colleague) and myself in my car. The Itinerary was all set and the plans were drawn. We would leave San Jose at 5:30 am and leave SEKI by 6 pm.
On the whole the trip was a memorable one. For some it was the best Valentine they had. The pictures we took were amazing and here they are. Enjoy and looking forward to more such trips and merriment. |
