Washington DC
By afternoon we headed out tour DC. It was about 30 minutes drive to DC from Woodbridge, VA. Parking was a major problem and hence Prasanna uncle decided to drive around while we walked and saw the places and hopped back onto the car. It was freezing cold that day but the sun was shining in all its glory on us.

The U.S Capitol Building - It has housed the meeting chambers of the House of Representatives and the Senate for two centuries. The Capitol, which was started in 1793, has been through many construction phases. It stands today as a monument to the American people and their government.

In the back you can see the White House - its a pretty neat place for the President to stay and work. Glad they allowed us so far to watch at least from the fence level.

Thomas Jefferson - former president of the United States. This memorial has famous quotes from Jefferson like 'All men are created equal...' Its really motivating to read his ideas on constitution and laws for humans.

Abraham Lincoln - another former U.S President. He was the one who abolished slavery and I don't think US can ever produce another president like him.

After the afternoon sightseeing we went back home and had lunch. In the evening my friend Harsha came over and we went again to DC to see the lights. This time it was only Harsha, Priya and myself.
