Manish and Garima invited us for a get-together at their place. It had been a while since we had visited them since the time they moved into the new apartment. It was a warm gesture from them to have invited us for dinner. Thanks to both of them. By the way Manish and Garima live @ the Waterford, a fantastic place midway to San Jose Downtown on First Street. Even though I dislike the First Street and its traffic, I liked their apartment. The apartment looked spacious with the walls adorning the couple's pictures. All in all we had a wonderful 'weekend' get-together on a busy 'weekday'.

enlarge 123KB, 800x600 1 What's that smelling yummy? That's Manish, Garima and Priya. We were getting started to eat Samosas as the appetizers. These pictures were actually taken to have some proof that Manish and Garima really did cook all these items [in case we get sick ;)]. The Samosas were crisp, nice and hot.

By this time we had been through 2 items - Samosas, Paneer Pakoras. I did not get a picture of the Pakoras. So anything happens in the post-mortem analysis because of the paneer, there is no way we can sue 'The Gargs.' :)

I think he wanted to send it out to his in-laws so that he can be in good terms with them. Well, pictures are static, god knows what happened after I took the picture. enlarge 117KB, 800x600 8 What's for dessert? Garima had prepared Phirnee for dessert. Phirnee is a rice pudding made with broken rice and seasoned with almonds, pista and Kesar. It was delicious.
