This was the coolest bird I saw on my trip.  He would take a deep breath, reel back, and then let out a consecutive ugh-ugh-ugh sound until he was deflated.  It was too awesome for words.  God I loved that bird.

Old School French church in downtown Hanoi.  There's a pretty cool hostel right around the corner... and a music store.

The church is really a point of reference when you're looking on a map.  Plus its a cool place to just go and sit and watch stuff.

Muchos Motorbikes everywhere.  Actually it makes me want one now.  Or at least when I get me to a big city and settle down.

Sacrificial things for the new year.  Please notice all the fake american money.

More sleeping Asians.  If only such things were condoned in the US... I'm sure productivity would skyrocket.  Or we'd just be happier :)

From what I remember I think the US tried to bomb this bridge from the air like 27 times.  They lost muchos planes.  And when they finally did blow it up, the Vietnamese just built a pontoon bridge right next to it that began functioning the next day.

LOL, old ladies pushing bikes filled with stuff.  Methinks all of Asia is like this.  But it makes sense.  I mean you can't balance too much on your head.

Old school bike/motorbike in a window.  Apparently, my Dad had something like this in France back in the day.

Again with the Motorbikes.

Electricity is a precarious thing.  It can light up your night or your body... if you get too close to any telephone pole.  Jeeze...

I think this is the President/Prime Minister/Dictator/ whomever else's house.  It's strange because downtown Hanoi is like DC in the fact that everything is nationalistic and visibly open in terms of space.

Uncle Ho's new house.

That's Ho Chi Mihn for the lay people.  He's inside, strangely white, and embalmed.  Very weird feeling inside too.  It's like Nationalistic vs. House of horrors.
