By the time I reached this point, where I was able to get on the train, I had been "relieved" of my Gurka knife, as it was too large a weapon to take aboard.  My smaller Benchmade black ops knife was of course allowed.

And this was my roomate: Uncle Doobie. We were the only two in this huge cabin together so it was nice.

It's amazing to think that this train was even built.  There are constant earthquakes, heavy snows, permafrost melting, and etc... all over the place on the tracks.

This was the dining cart.  Que entrance by Kelly and Bell in the foreground, Australian drinking buddies to help facilitate the passing of time during the last stages of the trip.

Though you can get some nourishment from the food provided on the train free; the dining cart has much more quantitative food selections that taste better.
