Our hastily-conceived Keys trip, to Islamorada and Key Largo. Quickly substituted for our well-planned Appalachicola Bay kayak trip to the Florida panhandle, which had to be cancelled due to a massive tropical storm up there. We headed the opposite direction thinking we'd have better weather and paddling...ended up VERY windy blustery and gray, but good paddling anyhow. We did day trips and got to sleep in BEDS and eat in RESTAURANTS. Not all bad.
